Masquerading as a Philosopher
Masquerading as a Philosopher - a somewhat deprecatory title, is a thoughtful effort, by a non-professional philosopher, to consider and address many demanding questions. The sections vary considerably in length; some are perhaps fragmentary or provisional, and some are modified, previously published responses appearing in the Magazine Philosophy Now. They reflect where the author has got to with his thinking in attempts to make sense of life, as well as death, and its many conundrums that have preoccupied and continue to puzzle him. Its substance draws on a considerable range of sources that are mainly philosophical.
These influenced his thinking previously as a teacher and university lecturer. Currently they continue to inform a more philosophically focused interest on issues that are broader than education.
