We are teaming up with Science Fuse to learn about the achievements of incredible scientists in our series of stories ‘Incredible Women in STEM’. Join us as we explore the innovation and action behind the fantastic contributions of women to the world of science and celebrate their lives and scientific discoveries.

Sarah Qureshi - The engineer who is cleaning our skies with her airplanes

Dr. Sarah Qureshi is the CEO and co-founder of Aero Engine Craft that is Pakistan‘s first commercial engine and aircraft R&D company developing environmentally safe aircraft engines. She has a Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Cranfield University, UK, and specializes in Aerospace Propulsion! Dr. Sara invents new machines for aircraft - one of these is a supersonic commercial aircraft engine! Dr. Sarah is also an advocate for sustainable practices within her field. She received the Distinguished Aerospace Alumni Award by Cranfield University in 2020 for her leadership role and contributions to her field. Dr. Sarah also spends time giving aviation lessons to school children. Born and raised in Pakistan, she is a remarkable scientist who is cleaning our skies with her environmentally friendly airplane engines.

Science Fuse is a social enterprise working to promote science education amongst young learners. They hold summer camps, after school science workshops, clubs and specially curated Science Shows in their mission to inspire the next generation of scientists and researchers, and to inculcate a love of learning in young children.
