Sign up for a colourful Urdu story telling session with Syeda Basarat Midhat Kazim’s translation of this tale about a chameleon who’s just trying to fit in.
We’ll be reading all about Irgit, a girgit who isn’t able to blend in as well as all the other chameleons. It’s only when trouble brews that he discovers just how important being different really is. Join us as we celebrate our uniqueness and our ability make a difference no matter what our abilities may be.
After the reading we’ll be turning your little ones into girgits themselves with face paints and googly eyes and testing just how well they know their colours. ‘Qissa Qahani’ is a library programme that aims to reacquaint children with Urdu literature using both local and translated stories.
