ABOUT THE FILM
After quitting cigarettes in New York, former chain-smoker, Fahad returns home to Karachi, where smoking is still tied to masculinity. Here feminists are lighting cigarettes to fight the patriarchy, and his mother is battling cancer. Kicking the habit in New York is one thing, but will he be able to stay off cigarettes back in Pakistan?

ABOUT THE FILMMAKER
Fahad Naveed is an interdisciplinary storyteller working as a journalist, filmmaker, visual artist and critic. His writing and editorial designs have appeared in various Pakistani and international publications. Fahad is also a co-founder of Mandarjazail Collective, an artist collective based in Karachi, and has shown at the Karachi Biennale. Most recently he finished graduate school at New York University where he studied News and Documentary Film on a Fulbright scholarship. His documentary 'Puff Puff Pak' premiered at the News Doc Film Festival 2019 in New York.
