Make It at the Library: Caricature Illustration for Children | Karachi

Learn how to draw amusing caricatures and join us for a barrel of laughs in this two-hour workshop for children!

About the event

This month, we're bringing you a fun introduction to the craft of cartooning and caricature!

Explore your creativity as you try your hand at caricature illustration with some guided practice. Learn key concepts and professional tips and tricks, as you exaggerate portraits to make them humorous and life-like!

With brilliant demonstrations from our expert, you'll get hands-on experience in creating characters, highlighting facial features, capturing expressions and more!

Share some laughs and learn new skills together in a friendly, relaxed environment. No prior drawing experience is necessary and all art materials will be provided at the library.


Ali Fazal is a graphic designer, cartoonist, caricature illustrator and environmentalist. He completed his degree in Communication Design from Indus Valley School of Arts & Architecture, one of the leading art schools in Pakistan.

Prior registration is mandatory; walk-ins will not be allowed.

This event is open to the public and recommended for ages 9 to 13.

The registration fee per participant (payable at the door) is PKR 500 for library members and PKR 800 for non-members.

All non-member participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who must also be registered for the event. Library members under 11 years of age must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

When visiting the library for the event, adults are required to bring their original CNIC, Passport or Library Membership card along with the participating child’s photo ID or Library Membership card.
