About the event
Come join us this June for 5 days of exciting adventures with words. Explore your inner writer as we forage through Haikus and poetry, create awesome news stories and march through flash fiction learning the tricks of the trade each step of the way!
Want to try and write a review about that revolting restaurant or frustrated that your spine-chilling story about vampires and wizards isn’t bouncing off the page? Come join us as we learn to weave magic with words this June at the British Council Karachi library.
About the facilitator:
Zainab Mahmood-Ahmad is a children's author, journalist and language arts teacher. She constantly takes on the challenge to inspire a love of reading and creative writing in children, by conducting workshops and book clubs. Her daughter Maryam, her muse and her greatest challenge, is a precocious 9 year old with an addiction to YouTube, who co-authors books with her mother in her spare time. Together they believe by encouraging tolerance and an inclusive atmosphere within our community they can help make this world a safer kinder place.
