We’re diving into Alcott’s coming-of-age classic about sisterhood, love and writing this November and getting thoroughly excited about the new Emma Watson, Timothee Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan starring film adaptation.
Beautiful Meg, talented Jo, frail Beth and spoilt Amy live a quiet life with their mother in a small New England Town. Their father has been conscripted into the civil war and the terror of his fate looms large over their day to day tasks. As the sisters struggle with hard days and illness they must each also battle against their various personal demons; vanity, pride, fear and the choice between personal ambition and family responsibility.
Limited copies are available for members to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis.
Join us and other like-minded teens as we cosy up over some snacks and discuss a book that has enthralled generations.
