Are you an aspiring writer? Have you ever wondered what life is like on the other side of being published? We’re reading Greer’s Pulitzer Prize winning, satirical take on the publishing world and what it really takes to be a freelance writer.
How does one avoid the wedding of an ex? Less, a struggling author, cannot outright refuse to attend without admitting to himself that his life and career are going nowhere. He rashly accepts a number of ‘writerly invitations’ to chair events for more successful writers, sit on panels to discuss more successful writers and conduct obscure workshops around the world. What at first appears to be little more than an effort to survive, soon turns into a journey of self-discovery – one that might actually result in some happiness.
Join us as we discuss this heart-warming book, over a cup of tea and some snacks!
Limited copies are available for members to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis.
