About the event
We’re bringing back our regular Book Club after the summer hiatus, and diving into this side-splitting take on love and marriage in Pakistan (arranged or, ahem, otherwise).
The Bandian family matriarch is in a race against time to arrange suitable matches for her grandchildren. After all, what was good enough for their parents ought to be good enough for them. The grandchildren have other ideas, however and emotions run high as the latest generation to enter the marriage market is poised to upend the entire system.
Join us as we discuss this hilarious and scathing indictment of the chai-trolley parade over some coffee or chai of our own!
Limited copies of the book are available for library members to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis.
