Join Jill Calder, illustrator of ‘The Sea’, for a deep sea adventure! Wave cheerio to cheeky gulls stealing your ice-cream and jump in a little yellow submarine, diving through miles of ocean down into the deepest, darkest sea trench. On your journey you’ll meet many beautiful and strange creatures from the clowns of the air to Scottish rockpool fish to the ever hungry gulper eel. You’ll be discovering and drawing them all as you descend through the depths.This fantastic voyage ends with everyone joining together to create a monster deep sea drawing!!

About the Facilitator
Jill Calder is an award-winning illustrator and calligrapher who blends traditional and digital techniques to create whimsical illustrations that appeal to both children and adults alike. Her work has appeared in everything from children’s books to public murals, from scientific reports to global advertising campaigns. Her clients include Bloomsbury, Chicken House Books, Penguin Random House, The Guardian, Harvard Business Review, Siemens, Kellogs and the World Health Organization. She has been shortlisted for the World Illustration Award (Children’s Book Category), the LBF Children’s Travel Book of the Year Award and has been nominated for the CILIP Carnegie Medal. She is one of the featured illustrators of the 2019 Drawing Words Exhibition and is visiting Lahore as part of the show.
This event is open to the public and appropriate for ages 7 to 12.
The registration fee per child (payable at the door in cash prior to the event) is PKR1000 for members and PKR1500 for non-members.

All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who must also be registered for the event.
