How to access the digital library

Our Digital Library has no boundaries – get access to licensed UK content anytime, anywhere, using your smart phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.

From film and theatre to e-books and international news publications, enjoy unlimited access to our resources by following these simple steps:

eBooks, Audiobooks, Magazines, Comics, Hoonuit, Indieflix, Qello

RBdigital is a state-of-the-art platform and app providing access to audiobooks, e-Books, e-Magazines, comics, software tutorials, films and music all in one place.

Step 1: Visit the Digital Library page and go to eBooks, Audiobooks, Magazines, Comics, Hoonuit, Movies or Music in the Quick Links section.

Step 2: Click on the Sign in option in the top right corner of the main page and enter your details to proceed.

Step 3: If you are accessing the RBdigital platform for the first time, click on Register now

Step 4: Select Pakistan when you choose your library

Step 5: Enter your details to create your login credentials and then click on register. You will now be able to log in and access the resources

Once you’ve set up your account, you can stream Movies (Indieflix), Tutorials (Hoonuit) and Music (Qello) through your browser.

Download the Rbdigital app on your mobile device to access and save eBooks, Audiobooks, Magazines and Comics for offline use.

Laptop and desktop computers: You can access Audiobooks, Magazines, Comics, Tutorials and Music through your browser. Scroll to the bottom of the page to download and install the Adobe Digital Editions app (for Mac or Windows) to check out and read eBooks.

Mobile devices: Scroll to the bottom of the page or go to your app store (Google Play, iOS App Store or Amazon App Store) to download and install the Rbdigital app on your device.

Newspapers and Magazines

Get access to the latest newspapers and magazines from across the globe, with publications for fans of current affairs, technology, business and finance.

Step 1: Visit the Digital Library page and go to Newspapers in the Quick Links section

Step 2: Click on the Sign in option in the top right corner of the main page

Step 3: Click on the button ‘Library or Group’

Step 4: Search for ‘Library – British Council Pakistan’

Step 5: Enter your Library Membership number and sign-in.

 
 

Theatre

Digital Theatre+ is the world’s leading digital platform for the Arts, providing access to over 450 high quality theatre productions  and 1,200+ curriculum-linked resources including backstage insights, practitioner interviews and written analysis.

Step 1: Visit the Digital Library page and go to Theatre in the Quick Links section

Step 2: Click Sign In in the top right corner of the page and enter the following credentials:

Username: librarykhi
Password: librarykhi121

Step 3: Browse the collection or search for the production you’d like to stream.

 
 

Academic Textbooks

Ebook Central provides access to the largest selection of quality, multidisciplinary titles from world-renowned publishers. Explore focused, academic ebook collections at your fingertips.

Step 1: Visit the Digital Library page and go to Academic Textbooks in the Quick Links section

Step 2: Enter your 8-digit membership number to sign in

Step 3: Browse through subjects or look up a book or author through the search bar.

Step 4: You can read chapters online or download them for offline use.
Download Adobe Digital Editions by selecting your device in the pop-up to read downloaded chapters.

 
 

Road to IELTS

Road to IELTS is the British Council’s comprehensive, online preparation resource for the IELTS General and Academic test modules. Library members get access to the full version which includes over 300 interactive activities, 17 videos giving advice and tutorials and 36 practice tests.

Step 1: Visit the Digital Library page and go to Road to IELTS (General or Academic) in the Quick Links section

Step 2: Enter your 8-digit membership number to sign in

Step 3: Click Sign in/Register and create an account if you’re a first time user.

Step 4: You now have full access to both Road to IELTS modules.
