The British Council Karachi library is a hub of creativity and culture!
Our library offers collaborative learning and community interaction in a safe setting, with co-working spaces, study rooms, workstations, thousands of books, and unlimited internet – all in one place.
We aspire to offer experiences, generate ideas and discussion, and bring people and communities together in a vibrant social space.

Tuesday to Saturday : 10:00 to 18:00
We are closed on Sundays and Mondays
Getting Here
The British Council Library in Karachi is located within the British Deputy High Commission premises at the address below:

Entrance and Parking
The entrance to the library is on main Shahrah-e-Iran Road, next to a security check-post and opposite Park Lane Hospital. There is no public car park available near the library; however, vehicles are usually parked around SZABIST University and at Park Lane Hospital across the road from the main entrance of the library.
Security
Before entering and as you enter the building, visitors will need to go through security checks. This involves visitors presenting ID documents for verification, walk through gates and baggage scanners.
Accessibility
The British Council Library strives to ensure that its building is accessible. Our doors, aisles, restroom, service desk, café and study rooms are all wheelchair-accessible with ramps installed on the premises.
