1. Harry’s famous invisibility cloak

What Christmas present could be better than an invisibility cloak – no more curfews or restrictions! Let’s face it, all of us have wished for invisibility at some (or maybe many) instances in our lives. Having our own invisibility cloak would mean that, when faced with embarrassing situations, we could simply don the cloak and vanish in an instant. Want to catch a quick midnight bite with a friend, but parental curfews pose a hindrance? Well, not a problem anymore – Invisibility cloak to the rescue!

2. Molly Weasley’s spells for household chores

Allow us to paint a picture for you – It’s Saturday morning and you want to catch up on lost sleep and laze around. But then who will do all the laundry? The chair at the far end of your room has been groaning under the pile of unwashed clothes for weeks. There are dishes to be washed, nooks and crannies to be dusted, and errands to be run (why did we ever long for adulthood!?) With a swish of our wands and mumbling of a few magical chants, Molly’s famed spells will help us get our lives in order. We can now spend our Saturday the way it should be spent – reading the Harry Potter books again!

3. Dabbling in some adventure with Polyjuice Potion

Harry, Ron and Hermione introduced us to the “polyjuice potion” in their second year at Hogwarts, concocting it to successfully assume the appearance of Goyle and Crabbe (and a cat in Hermoine’s case) to question Draco Malfoy. Because we are altruistic beings, we would naturally use this magical potion to thwart the carefully hatched plans by evil masterminds. What is life without a little adventure?

4. Hermione’s expandable bag

We cannot sing the praises of this super convenient bottomless pit of a bag enough! Sometimes we don’t want to have to make the tough decisions, such as which makeup products, night creams or books to forego when getting on long plane rides to exotic destinations. This bag will let the hoarders among us take everything we need, and a handful of things we don’t, without worrying about luggage allowances or the burden of carrying enormous suitcases.

5. The ability to Apparate

The first time we read about the wonders of apparition, we immediately wanted to join in the training lessons. Say goodbye to expensive plane tickets and encumbering visa processes that take away half the fun out of vacation before it even starts. Travel enthusiasts like us would be overjoyed if apparition could become a reality. Imagine all the places one could visit as soon as you turn 17!
